A light puff pastry with a dollop of creamy cheese filling that's drizzled with a light lemon glaze to top it all off. The cheese filling has a slight tangy lemon flavor that balances the sweetness of the Danish. This popular breakfast pastry is also wonderful for a snack.
Cheese Danish Ingredients:
Dough: milk, yeast, wheat flour, sugar, salt, butter, eggs.
Filling: cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, lemon juice and zest, vanilla extract.
Glaze: powdered sugar, milk, lemon juice.
